Security Engineer
12 months contract
Fort Worth, TX
Phone and in-person
Deploying well thought out firewall policies and rules to meet customer needs
Analyzing and removing legacy unused firewall policy
Enforcing security standards and best practices for all aspects of our network and perimeter security platforms
Upgrading operating systems on firewalls, IPS, VPN, Proxy servers
Developing, implementing, and improving upon the enterprise security network segmentation strategy
Providing security consulting services concerning network/perimeter security best practices to internal application and systems development teams
Monitoring security data and reports taking action to implement preventative measures to keep data, systems and network secure
Providing security architecture requirements to stakeholders and service providers to ensure compliance with Enterprise Security architecture standards and best practices
Providing expert analysis, troubleshooting, or forensic investigation of security anomalies which may require periodic, on-call, after hours support, including weekends and holidays
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience is required.
Previous experience in information security specifically including experience with:
o Firewall management (Palo Alto, Cisco Firepower, Cisco ASA)
o VPN/SSL implementation (Pulse, Cisco Anyconnect, Cisco Firepower, Cisco ASA)
o Skybox Security Product Suite
o Azure Cloud Security with Virtual Firewalls
o Proxy Servers (Symantec/Bluecoat)
o Content Analysis Systems (Trend, Symantec)
o Intrusion Prevention Systems (Trend/Tipping Point, Cisco Firepower)
o IP networking and computer security
o Information security risk / vulnerability assessments
o Project Management
o Cisco Network/Security Certifications are plus
o CISSP certifications are a plus
o Palo Alto Certifications are a plus
