Role: Network Security Engineer

* Looking for someone with solid Palo Alto experience and with IBAC Identity Awareness skills as well.

Knowledge and Skills Required:
Experience with translating business, regulatory, and security requirements into technical infrastructure solutions
Expert in Palo Alto Network Firewalls (VM Series and Physical) and Panorama devices (Mandatory)
Expert with Global Protect, LSVPN, Site to Site
Expert on Palo Alto Cloud based firewalls (Azure, AWS
Deep Understanding on Palo Alto UserID/Role Base functionality
Deep Understanding on Palo Alto Concepts, Features
Strong Knowledge on Check Point firewall Products (MDS, GAIA Firewalls, VSX)
Familiarity with AlgoSec integration to Checkpoint and Palo Alto Networks
Requires excellent analytical ability for network traffic manipulation and flows, strong judgment and probe analysis techniques, an in-depth knowledge of business unit’s functions and applications
Broad knowledge of telecommunication/LAN technologies including TCP/IP, AIX/UNIX/LINUX, Windows and extensive knowledge of network security tools.
Must be able to provider leadership to network engineering teams for problem solving and new initiatives. Leadership capabilities
IP networking skill-set including IP addressing, switching, routing
Familiarity with adherence to standard Change Management procedures when introducing technical changes to production environments
Proficient in analyzing sniffier captures
Communication Skills
Nice to Have Cloud Certifications in AWS or Azure
*checkpoint background is a bonus

Principal Responsibilities:
Leads and collaborates with other IT asset SMEs in efforts to design, implement, and enhance network security control solutions in cloud and on-prem environments using next generation security technologies to satisfy corporate and regulatory requirements for data segregation and protection
Provide thought leadership to technical engineering team on network security designs featuring Checkpoint and Palo Alto Network firewalls
Transition developed solutions to operational teams including delivery of documentation, educational training sessions, and continued Level 3 support.
Develops and collaborates with peer teams to shares best practices on next generation security technoligies
Performs analysis, basic system design, documentation, testing implementation and on-going level 3 support for extremely complex networks which have been built and interconnected over an extended time period leading to
Provides highly technical consultation in identifying and implementing next gen network security technologies in line with strategic guidelines, which assists the Network teams in meeting tactical project objectives.
Collaborates with management and peers to communicate change impact to end users
