2+ yrs of exp in Lab infrastructure Support (L1 level support)
Good trouble shooting skills for Linux Infrastructure)
Basic Knowledge on Compute, Network and Storage areas. Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
Strong problem solving and customer related skills and ability to interact well with people of all levels – internally and externally.
Ability to prioritize and deliver service, to agreed service levels, within a diverse and constantly changing technical environment
Monitoring and Maintenance of Linux Servers
Managing network ports and servers capacity and configurations.
Managing hardware and software configurations and updates.
Coordinating testing among sub teams (who tests what and when
Installation of OS and Application on Lab PC and non supported systems by IT
Developing and monitoring the change control process. The change control process defines who is allowed to make changes to the lab environment.
Assistance for hardware and software procurement
Maintaining lab documentation (such as lab descriptions, diagrams, and processes
Establishing physical security. The lab manager takes measures to prevent unauthorized use of lab equipment
Setting up an inventory control system.
Assisting Business in lab budget for support costs.
Inventory and Labeling hardware, including cabling.
Work with Lab manager and Resolve environmental problems.
Implementing a preventative maintenance program for equipment.
Making periodic server backups.if required
Ensuring the lab is kept clean and orderly.
