Job Title: Network Engineer
Location: San Diego, CA.
Duration: 6 Months Contract To Hire.
ONLY LOCALS.
GC OR CITIZENS.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a mid-level Network Engineer to help us with our ongoing projects – key to our success! We need someone to assist both with typical production activities, as well as simultaneously support the growth of the network to new locations as planned initiatives are executed.
The Environment:
Enterprise environment consisting of thousands of network appliances.
Ancillary networks have between 100-200 switches.
Consists mostly of Cisco hardware.
Excellent customer service and quality technical service are both keys to success in this role!
This position will require an engineer to be onsite, day shift, in our San Diego office.
In this role you will:
Configure routers and switches in an enterprise environment.
Resolve network issues to ensure connectivity
Ensure availability and uptime of a 24/7 mission-critical enterprise system
Provide support and technical guidance as needed.
Qualifications:
BS Degree preferred
2- 10+ years of Network Engineering and Support Experience a must.
Proven application, OS, and system support experience in an MS environment.
Excellent customer service, documentation, and presentation skills
MS certifications strongly desired (MCSE, Etc)
Cisco Certification preferred (CCNA)
VMWare Certification Preferred (VCP)
Positive attitude a must!
Highly organized with attention to detail and strong time management skills
Ability to prioritize for critical project delivery
