Title : Network Engineer

Title: Phoenix, AZ

Type: Contract

Skills Required:

· Ability to communicate effectively with customers, management, staff and equipment vendors.

· Knowledge of secure network switching/routing and layer 1 cabling.

· 8+ years’ experience as a Network Engineer

· Knowledge of research methods and techniques for networking solutions.

· Skills in the design and configuration of information technology systems.

· Knowledge of principles of business system analysis, including the analysis of procedures, equipment and methods.

· Ability to quickly evaluate and resolve customer problems directly with customers.

· Ability to analyze, interpret and present research findings

· Ability to analyze specifications and design documents.

· Ability to conceive a variety of solutions to functional problems and to reduce abstract ideas to easily understood procedures.

· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, vendors and users is crucial

· F5 Expertise

· The candidate will need to have experience upgrading F5 appliances to include: • BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager (LTM)

· BIG-IP Access Policy Manager (APM)• BIG-IP Application Security Manager (ASM)

· BIG-IP DNS (formerly BIG-IP GTM)

· BIG-IP Access Policy Manager (APM

· 8+ years of experience with wide and local area networks including experience with common-carrier data network F5 Expertise

· The candidate will need to have experience upgrading F5 appliances to include:

· BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager (LTM)

· BIG-IP Access Policy Manager (APM)

· BIG-IP Application Security Manager (ASM)

· BIG-IP DNS (formerly BIG-IP GTM)

· BIG-IP Access Policy Manager (APM)

Education:

· A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field and 5 years of experience with wide and local area networks including experience with common-carrier data network.

· An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and job-related experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year for year basis.
