Job Details:
Title/Role: Network Engineer
Hours: Monday - Friday | 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Locations: Montgomery, AL

Overview:
Candidate will be responsible for designing computer networks, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), wireless (WLAN), the Internet, intranets, and other data communications systems based on "Best Practice" principles.
Candidate will be responsible for the research, design, development, deployment, configuration, administration, documentation and maintenance of those solutions.
Analyze business requirements to develop technical network solutions and their framework.
Design, test, and inspect data communications systems.
Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning.
Install hardware such as cables, switches, routers, and wireless adaptors.
Develop technology roadmaps.
Configure network drivers for software.
Analyze, engineer, and execute software functions.
Develop test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for various projects.
Manage technology vendors.
Stay abreast of how technology infrastructures are currently impacting and driving competitors.
Determine production direction.
Write functional requirements/specifications documents.
Assess vendor development/test strategies.
Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.
Upgrade network hardware and software components as required.
Solve complex problems with many variables.

Skills & Experience Needed:
Must be aware of major network vulnerabilities and exploits.
Advance knowledge working with Cisco and/or similar Products.
Advance knowledge working with Network Management Tools and Advance knowledge working with Wireshark software.
Must have Business Writing and Documentation skills.
Must have the ability to work methodically and detail oriented.
Must have the ability to diagnose problems and provide resolution.
Communicates well with management and user community.

Education & Certifications:
A minimum of AA in Computer Science/Technical School and 5+ years computer/network industry experience with Network tools and appliances
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) – Preferred.
Network + Certification – Preferred.
Security + Certification – Preferred.
Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA) – Preferred.
