Sr. Cisco Network Engineer

Responsibilities:
Respond to and resolve network service issues in a timely manner to support internal and external customer requests/needs.
Support voice environment, responding and resolving service issues.
Drive and/or participate in projects and related tasks as assigned in support of installations and/or improvements to network infrastructures.
Monitor and analyze network systems for overall health and performance to proactively identify service impacting issues.
Produce, update and generally improve technical documentation to support security requirements and operational support of systems.
Provide technical expertise on network infrastructure to drive performance and operational efficiencies.
Participate in the on-call rotation as part of a team and provide after hour support as needed to support 24/7 business operations.
Qualifications, Training and Experience:
Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience
5-8 years supporting, monitoring and troubleshooting Cisco network environments
Experience with operations automation (Powershell, BASH, Python, or Ansible) preferred
Experience troubleshooting Cisco Finesse and/or other web applications
Supporting and managing a voice environment, with Cisco Communications Manager and Contact Center experience a plus
Strong SIP trunking experience a plus
Experience with call recording and/or work force management tools (Verint) a plus
Strong organizational skills and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work in a self-directed manner with minimal direction and oversight
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong understanding of security best practices
1-2 years'' experience in managing small to medium projects
Windows OS (Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10)
Linux OS a plus ( RHEL 6/7, CENTOS 7 )
MS Office Suite. (current versions)
Basic to mid-level Windows 2008/2012 Active Directory Server knowledge and understanding

Work is performed in an office environment which typically requires:
Must have the ability to lift and move equipment such as routers, switches, servers, laptops and monitors.
Work performed on a computer (typing, reading, etc
Sitting for long periods of time
Contact with others (face-to-face, by telephone, or otherwise)
Responsible for understanding and complying with all company policies that are applicable to their job function and participate in mandatory training in a timely manner.
Travel requirements:
Some auto travel may be required to local offices in Portland or Boston, less than 5%. Also may be required to air travel and stay overnight at remote locations, less than 5%.
