Job Description :
This position REQUIRES that a RESUME and COVER LETTER be submitted Three or more years of experience supporting network operations for a large, complex, mission-critical applications and communications. Required Detailed knowledge and experience with multiple network communications standards such as IPv4, IPv6, TCP/IP Suite, DHCP, and Domain Name Service (DNS Required Ability to analyze network problems including fault isolation, problem resolution and service restoration. Required Demonstrated hands-on experience with administration of Local Area Network technologies. Required Skill to manage multi-protocol routers and layer 2/3 switches; ability to configure Cisco routers and switches; knowledge of the Cisco IOS Command Hierarchy. Required Ability and willingness to provide after-hours technical support as assigned. Required Verbal and written communication skill to effectively convey technical information to non-technical audiences; ability to develop and maintain detailed documentation. Required Bachelor''s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering (or related) OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Hands on experience using a trouble/service ticketing system. Required Ability to move, carry or lift items up to 40 pounds with assistance. Required Ability to drive university vehicle to work locations on and off campus. Required Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2000/2003. Required Hands on experience using the InfoBlox ipam/dhcp/dns appliance or similar tool. Required Experience with configuring Arista, Brocade and Juniper routers and/or switches. Preferred Detailed knowledge of wireless protocols with emphasis on IEE802.11. Required Possession of valid CA driver''s license for operation of university vehicles.
