Job Description
	Define, document and implement strategy, direction, and architectures for company’s network services team.
	Research, design, plan, and implement new network technologies into current operational environment.
	Test and evaluate future looking technologies by participating in beta tests of given technologies.
	Analyze current environment, recommend and provide enhancements to existing network systems and services, define the R.O.I., and implement these improvements using accepted change control methodology and processes.
	Define, document, and follow standards and best practices for network system design, testing, and implementation methodology.
	Configure, deploy, fine-tune, monitor, maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot, support, and repair network systems as required.
	Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware / software requirements from a network services perspective.
	Document the global network environment.
Education/Skills:
	Travel: Domestic, up to 25%
	 Degree preferred in a related discipline, such as Computer Information Systems or Network Engineering. Licenses / Certifications: CCIE preferred, CCNP required, as well as other relevant Security related certifications.
	 Global WANs, multi-site LANs, MS Systems, Active Directory, Server Platform, communications skills, teamwork, and excellent technical acumen required.
	 10-plus years of direct engineering, design, deployment experience, and support for complex multi-site global network
	 Expertise with 3rd party Vendor management.
	 Must be able to handle pressure and work with multiple vendors / outsourcers to resolve complex network and technical issues.
	 Expertise with SIP and MPLS (design, deployment, best practices, & topology
	 Expertise with Cisco Networking technologies especially LAN / WAN Routing protocols
	 Expertise with F5 load balancers including APM, LTM and ASM Web Application Firewalls
	 Cisco ASA IPSEC VPN, SourceFire IDS/IPS
	 As subject matter expert, responsible for keeping Mindsight current on emerging technologies and lead new product evaluation
	 Engage in the design of complex solutions, service offerings and perform peer reviews of proposed project designs
	 Assist in the development of quality, cost effective installation, support and escalation processes
	 Maintain knowledge expert image and exposure among peers and vendors in the industry
	 Expertise with Software Define Networks (SDN) especially SD-WANs a plus  
Preferred
	Expertise in creating reliable, scalable architectures, with fault tolerance, performance tuning, monitoring systems, statistics / metrics collection, and disaster recovery.
	Professional background with system management and monitoring tools (i.e. Solarwinds, Cisco Prime, CA, etc.
	Experience supporting Problem Management initiatives on Windows and production systems/applications on various networking technologies.
	Experience with network and security product vendors such as: Palo Alto, Juniper, Riverbed, Silver Peak
	Experience with stringent change control processes and ITIL foundations.
	Strong documentation and communication skills.
	Must be able to articulate technical details with-in multiple levels of the organization, including non-technical groups.
