*Duration: 6+ months*

*Purpose of the Job:*

As the Senior Network Engineer, the ideal candidate will be able to
roadmap, research, and implement advanced network technologies from start
to finish. The Engineer will be working with a team of network engineers
to design techniques and help integrate them into the current production
network. Must be well rounded with full exposure and experience with
network and communications. (Routing, Switching, Security, VoIP, Wireless,
POTs, MPLS, etc

*Essential Functions:*

- Ensure the integrity and meet best practices of a highly available
network infrastructure Designing, planning and implementing a highly
available network/communications environment
- Provide maximum performance and stability for critical applications
and services.
- Maintaining, configuring and deploying Cisco IOS devices (ASA,
routers, switches, etc
- Provide Tier 3 support for the network/communications environment
- Work closely with the Server, ERP and Applications teams to ensure the
network environment is configured with best practices and runs efficiently
- Keep network documentation (policies, procedures, diagrams) up to date
and accurate
- Quarterly test all failover network systems to ensure they are
functioning as expected
- Installation, support, and maintenance Verizon MPLS WAN connections
- Capacity planning and monitoring of all production WAN & LAN circuits

*Additional Responsibilities:*

- Perform network device upgrades in alignment with security
requirements and end of life status
- Work with vendors/service providers to track, manage and resolve the
root cause of major or recurring chronic incidents / problems
- Collaborate on multiple projects simultaneously while providing
appropriate levels of reporting and risk assessments / mitigations
- Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for new standards
- Manage to resolution, high and urgent severity incidents to restore
service as quickly as possible after an incident occurs
- Provide reporting and detailed network analysis to support the
efficiency and reliability of the overall network configuration
- Participate in after-hours escalations and support needs as needed to
maintain a highly available environment
*Qualifications to Meet Minimum Requirements:*
- Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or 7+
years equivalent experience is required
- Cisco CCNA certifications required. CCDP/CCNP/CCIE preferred
- 7+ years experience in network infrastructure4 design. Must be
familiar with cabling and fiber cabling standards
- Experience with Aruba WLC, Aruba Access Points, and 802.1x, PKI, EAP,
TLS technologies
- 7+ years experience in supporting site to site VPNs and client VPN
solutions. Security - Cisco ASA 9.2, VPN Site-to-Site Tunnels, NAT
- 5+ years experience supporting enterprise level Cisco VoIP
deployments. (Collaboration - Cisco Call Manager, Unity Connections, Cisco
CCX)
- 7+ years knowledgeable and experienced in various network
technologies, services, and protocols that are typical of a large
enterprise network including BGP, MPLS, OSPF, EIGRP, and QoS
- Working knowledge is Cisco IronPort (WSA)
- 3+ years working knowledge of WAN optimization technologies.
