Network Engineer - on behalf of our client in the Midstream sector, Procom Services is looking for on (1) Network Engineer responsible for providing effective and responsive technical solutions and support of all Telecom Systems under the Core Network Services group.

Network Engineer Job Details

* The position requires an energetic and mature individual who can function independently and be a cohesive and complementary team member within various operational and project initiatives and situations.
* The successful candidate will also have a proven track-record of contributing to the success of complex and/or multiple projects and a demonstrated ability as a Subject Matter Expert who can influence others.
* Assisting the Network Services Technical Lead, peers and junior team members.
* Provide advanced technical support, technical direction and mentoring to appropriate technical staff within the Network Services team.
* Act as a second/third level support resource for network (routing and switching) communication problems.
* Provide network context and design requirements for the Infrastructure Design team.
* Continuous improvement of the overall operation to enhance reliability, availability, functionality and TCO of the systems and services provided by the department.
* Work closely with all departments within TransCanada to ensure solution execution and problem resolution.
* Building a strong relationship with our business partners by developing in-depth understanding of their business needs and processes.

Network Engineer Mandatory Skills

* TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP and BGP, MPLS.
* Switching, VLANs, spanning-tree, 802.1q, channelling
* Cisco Nexus (N7K,N5K,N1K) in addition to IOS and a number of Cisco switch and router platforms
* F5 LTM appliances and Aruba wireless
* RADIUS, NTP, DNS and DHCP.
* Cisco ASA/ACS, Fortinet
* This position may require a limited amount of after-hours work. Some limited travel may also be required from time to time.
* Please note that this is work in a NERC-Controlled environment so proof of a successfully completed criminal background check is required.
