JOB DESCRIPTION
Expert knowledge of cisco equipment and technologies, including cisco nexus to support data networking infrastructures.
possess the ability to quickly identify, diagnose and provide solutions to complex problems, requirements and integration of various technologies.
provide planning, installing, configuring and maintaining routers, switches and load balancers.
develop plans for deploying and administering network equipment.
establish and maintain service levels; perform basic troubleshooting; monitor network implementations; and manage network device alarms.
expert knowledge with layer 2 and layer 3 technologies with a focus on cisco networking equipment (or future netops tools), specifically routers, switches and load balancers.
detailed knowledge and experience with open short path first (ospf) and border gateway protocol (bgp
functions as the expert in networking experience as well as lan/wan optimization experience.
executes best communication engineering practices in network builds, integration, testing and packaging of infrastructure documentation and application solutions, etc.
monitor availability and reliability of data center network.
resolve hardware, operational, infrastructure and application incidents within our data center switch and routing infrastructure.
provide preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and quickly resolve routine problems to ensure infrastructure and application stability.
plan network development and expansion as needed.
provide regular status reports on tasks accomplished, current issues and progress toward goals.
experience in f5 load balancers build, install and configurations.
experience in managing infoblox would be essential.
knowledge of sdn would be essential.
