Job Description :
Technical/Functional Skills -MUST HAVE SKILLS;
? Good technical skills in LAN / WAN and Telecom troubleshooting.
? Knows basic show commands to identify common issues and verify settings (cisco/juniper
? Juniper & Cisco hardware experience.
? Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals and commonly-used network protocols (MPLS, IPv6, BGP,
Multicast, DNS, DHCP and SNMP
? Knowledge of network routing protocols for IP, Source Specific Multicast and PIM.
? Experience with IP-backhaul of HD-SDI, 3G SDI and ASI; Experience with conditional access
systems and IP DRM.
? Expert knowledge of H.264, MPEG2, ATSC and DVB-S S2,T. Exposure to upcoming compression technologies like JPEG2000 and HEVC/H.265.
? Strong knowledge and experience on Enterprise hardware and software infrastructure (Servers,
Linux, Windows experience
? Strong knowledge of network/video troubleshooting tools, and monitoring platforms.
? Able to troubleshoot network/video issues remotely with Deployment Engineers.

Roles & Responsibilities;
Monitor service stability and performance to ensure 24x7 operations and resolvingservice impacts as they occur within SLA
? Handle trouble tickets and work closely with engineering (Video and Deploy) and XFN teams within SLA.
? Communicate and handle escalated issues and work closely with Youtube TV internal, XFN teams and vendors/providers to resolve network/video issues.
? Able to identify and troubleshoot Layer 1 physical issues.
? Validate problem descriptions, perform detailed diagnosis; track and update problems in trouble-ticketing system and write postmortem.
? Recommend solutions to correct service issues and faults.
? Perform firmware upgrades.
