Job Description:
The Network Engineer position is part of the team responsible for the design, building, management, and maintenance of the corporate business networks of SIE. The role will also entail working on projects across the SIE IT department as a whole, other IT groups in Sony, and with other business units in SIE and other Sony operating companies.
SIE IT manages the wired and wireless networks at three large sites (500-1500 employees), six smaller sites (20-80 employees), four very small sites (fewer than 10 employees), and two data centers. We also manage the WAN connectivity between these locations.

Contribute to the design of inter-site WANs, campus LANs and WLANs, and data center LANs.
Help select, install, configure, and maintain network devices like routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, VPN concentrators, etc.
Use and manage network monitoring tools and systems.
Manage DNS and DHCP services for the enterprise.
Assist the Information Security Team with monitoring and investigations on the network.
Tier 3 support for end-user network problems.

Minimum of 5 years of experience working in enterprise networking
Bachelors or advanced technical degree preferred
Professional and vendor certifications for relevant technologies and products
Deep knowledge of basic routing and switching
BGP, OSPF, and static IPv4 and IPv6 routing
Understanding, deploying, and managing WiFi networks
Deep knowledge of firewalls and VPN
Experience managing DNS and DHCP
Knowledge of Ethernet, spanning tree, LACP, ARP
Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF)
Deep knowledge and experience with Cisco IOS

Infoblox for IP Address Management (IPAM), DNS, and DHCP
Solarwinds Orion for network monitoring
Pulse Secure (formerly Juniper) remote access VPN
Cisco Catalyst switches
Cisco Nexus switches
Cisco Wireless controllers and APs
Cisco ISE for RADIUS and TACACS+
Cisco Prime Infrastructure
Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Panorama
ForeScout CounterAct or other Network Access Control (NAC) technologies
JunOS and experience with Juniper EX switches
