Job Description
The role of Network Team Lead is for an individual who has the right combination of deep technical knowledge of data center and wide area networking, coupled with strong leadership and mentorship skills.

The person in this job directs the activities of junior technical team personnel to provide guidance and leadership related to planning and execution of data center migration activities. This person will work within general methods and procedures to review the work of subordinate technical resources to ensure conformance to established program framework, methods, procedures, and policies, related to the Dell Data Center Consolidation program.

Job Duties
Hold weekly 1x1 calls with all junior technical resources on the Dell program team
Hold daily sync meeting with assigned Project Manager to review daily and weekly work priorities for technical team.
Participate in weekly status meetings with program leadership team on activities and performance of technical team activities (as established by Project Management)
Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of junior team members.
Evaluate and verifies junior team member performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques.
Oversees technical team’s client migration activities to ensure efficiency, productivity, and quality standards are maintained.
Participate in detailed process development sessions to ensure adherence to program framework and structure.
Review migration playbooks developed by junior team members to ensure accuracy and compliance with program framework.
Participate in nightly/weekly migration monitoring activities to ensure junior technical team members deliver a positive customer experience during assigned migration periods.
Provide analytical insights related to technical and process alignment for program level reporting
Candidate must possess strong analytical skills to distill relationships between technical, business, and program objectives.
Intake all artifacts from work assigned to technical team, and provide review and feedback to Program leadership team.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge of:
Strong working knowledge of networking protocols (OSI 7-layer model)
Current industry best practices in networking concepts and processes
Word processing, Excel spreadsheet manipulation for reporting purposes
Multi-vendor Data Center infrastructure concepts
Network Operations best practices
Supervisory techniques and concepts to drive enhanced performance of subordinate team members

Ability to:
Communicate in a clear, precise, and effective manner
Ability to conduct training and informational sessions
Develop strong relationships with internal and external program stakeholders
Read and interpret complex technical documents and related documents to distill and/or refine program processes and procedures.
Effectively implement time management skills to ensure work is completed on time
Supervise a dynamic and diverse remote team of technical resources with varying degree of technical expertise.
Work in and adapt to a dynamic and fluid environment where strategy shifts may be required to achieve successful outcome of program objectives.

Experience and Education:
5+ years technical supervisory experience in a Network Operations Environment
10+ years’ technical experience working in complex data center and WAN environments
B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
Cisco or Juniper Professional-level certifications (can be no more than 5 years expired)
