Job Description :
Responsibilities include planning, executing, and implementing large,
complex infrastructure projects by working closely with the business
team members to accomplish the goals of the business and IT department
This includes creation of comprehensive project plans, and coordination
of team members, third-party contractors and consultants
Additional responsibilities include assisting with strategic plans an
roadmaps for future infrastructure initiatives; tracking project
milestones and deliverables
Identifying and mitigating issues
Resolving conflicts with the project
Developing/presenting proposals, reports and project plans to management


Daily Tasks Performed

Log file review, general network health analysis
Troubleshooting, issue resolution of responsible equipment in the
LAN/WAN environment, working with other groups to troubleshoot issues
Project work such as doing design work, ordering new equipment,
configuring new equipment, attending project team meetings

Musts

BS Degree in Computer Science or related field.
Strong background in Layer 2, Layer 3 and Layer 4 technologies and the
ability to work as a team to maintain infrastructure stability and
technical certification as CCNP or JNCIP required
Deep understanding of routing and switching, firewalls, wireless, remote
access VPN, site-to-site, network/application load balancing, DHCP, DNS,
public key infrastructure, RADIUS, TACACS desired
Knowledge and experience with the following will also be required:
Juniper Ethernet Switching, Cisco routing and switching
Proficient PC Skills ( Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other technical
software
Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills required

Business Experience

3 - 5 years experience working in an environment with LAN, regional and
global MPLS networks including multiple remote site offices or
equivalent combination of education and experience required

Wants

Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals, IPv4/IPv6, MPLS,
routing protocol operation, IP filtering, firewalls, VPNs and the
associated tunneling technologies.
Excellent communication and team working skills.
Demonstrated, strong working knowledge of EIGRP, BGP and OSPF routing
protocol.
Ability to configure, monitor and maintain Cisco networking devices in a
campus LAN and global WAN environment.
Familiarity with Cisco VoIP Unity Connection & Communications Manager
experience and related technologies.
Demonstrated ability to utilize network protocol analyzers such as
Wireshark.
Demonstrated ability to design and produce standardized documentation
for both LAN and WAN solutions.
