Position Description:
We are seeking a Network Administrator to perform network administration to include routing, load balancing, switching, monitoring, firewall administration, and troubleshooting. The successful candidate will have experience installing, configuring, and maintaining the system network components to include; Fortinet firewalls, Citrix Netscaler and F5 load-balancers, and Cisco network devices (e.g., routers and switches
Required support includes but is not limited to:
Install, setup, configure, troubleshoot and administer new and existing Local Area Networks and Wide Area Networks.
Install, setup, configure, troubleshoot and administer new and existing routers, switches, Fortinet firewalls, Netscaler load balancers, and authentication servers.
Implementation and configuration of NetScaler features including: Load Balancing, Content Switching, SSL Offloading, URL Rewriting, Responder, Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB), GSLB Routing Methods, Content Filtering, Coaching/Compression, and firmware/version updates.
Full design and administration of all Citrix NetScaler network appliances.
Install, configure, administer and troubleshooting Citrix NetScaler devices in the support backend servers.
Provision and administer authoritative and recursive DNS services.
Install, setup, configure, troubleshoot, and administer new and existing network monitoring tools, including but not limited to NAGIOS, AIDE, Solarwinds, SNORT, Cacti, and Open Monitoring Distribution (OMD
Monitor network devices and resolve network related issues.
Ensure network devices remain patched to the latest stable and compatible version of firmware, software, etc. Remediate vulnerable configurations on network devices.
Work with system administrators to configure new applications with security in mind.
Provision and administer new and existing VPN tunnels to other locations.
Maintain and update documentation (Visio Diagrams) of logical and physical connections that make up the network.
Manage, implement, and configure network resources in cloud provided environments.
Provision and administer SSL implementations using RSA/DSA keys.
Support authentication systems integration (HSPD12 and RSA tokens/RADIUS)
Provision and implementation VPN resources.
Run new network cabling (fiber and copper) in the data center.
Maintain an accurate accounting of all network devices.
Assist in the implementation/update of a Standard Operating Procedures.
Provide on-call (e.g., pager or cell phone) network administration support 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Must have or obtain Citrix Certified Advanced Administrator (CCAA) for Netscaler 10 (or higher) or Citrix Certified Professional - Networking (CCP) certification no later than 6 months after the contract award.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (i.e., EE, CPE, MIS, IT)
3+ years of experience with Cisco Switches and LAN technologies
3+ years of experience with Cisco Nescaler load balancers; experience with F5 load balancers a plus OR CISCO ASA experience can be used in place of Netscaler
3+ years of experience with Firewalls – FORTINET a plus
3+ years of experience with system monitoring tools such as NAGIOS, AIDE, Solarwinds, SNORT, Cacti, and Open Monitoring Distribution (OMD
Ability to develop technical solutions for a wide range of complex system-to-systems issues that require ingenuity, innovation, and collaboration.
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to develop, document, and maintain processes, methods, and tools.
Ability to work in a team environment as well as be an individual contributor.
Able to meet and maintain professional certification requirements.
