Job Description:
Worker will initially be dedicated to project work with our Backup Transformation project and will be focused on completing tasks on schedule while maintaining adherence to PMO guidelines and procedures. Worker should have experience and skills in backup systems and methodologies, as well as disk array systems. Client is currently using EMC Networker and Veeam backup software in coordination with HP 3PAR and ExaGrid disk arrays; worker will need to migrate into a backup to disk system. Projects may include computer installs, break-fix, and maintenance of agency server/system hardware. Responsibilities include installation, maintenance, and upgrading software for both individual computers and larger networked systems; provide assistance in selection of potential vendors/products to incorporate into the future state architecture; work and support the Infrastructure team as needed; and performs other technical duties as assigned. Engagement to potentially include task activities in multiple projects.
MUST HAVE:
4+ years’ experience in backup to disk technologies
4+ years’ experience in backup to cloud technologies
4+ years’ experience in datacenter infrastructure technologies
4+ years’ experience with backup server installation and architecture
4+ years demonstrated problem-solving and solution development skills
Ability to use rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions
Other Special Requirements: May require travel to other locations. Transportation will be provided.
