Role:
The IBM® Netezza® data warehouse appliance includes a highly optimized SQL that is called IBM Netezza Structured Query Language (SQL You can use the SQL commands to create and manage your Netezza databases.
Data Stage is an integration tool, used in this space to perform the ETL for a data warehouse. It is essentially the data API into the warehouse.
MUST HAVE:
Very strong (6+ years) experience with Netezza and Netezza SQL. Must be knowledgeable/able to speak to the advantages and why to do things one way vs. another with regard to the following - distribution keys, organization keys, alternative keys, surrogate keys, business keys, primary keys. Also should know the purpose of zone maps, and what is FPGA.
Must understand the architecture of Netezza in order to have an understanding of what is happening behind the scenes so that they can write their SQL queries to be the most performant.
Very strong SQL skills
very strong experience with Data Stage
Healthcare experience is a HUGE nice to have - especially experience with claims systems
