NetAct Engineer
Location: Reston, VA
Duration: 12+ months

Expert in Unix and/or Linux
Proficient in VMWare Cloud infrastructure, certification is a Plus
Advanced knowledge of Cloud integration
Knowledge in TCP/IP and routing protocols
Advanced knowledge of software integration
Knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), TCP/IP and routing protocols
Excellent communication skills (written/verbal) including the ability to succinctly and clearly express ideas internally and directly to customer through email, phone, face to face and other means
Strong System integration, testing, debugging and troubleshooting skills and an aptitude to learn new things.
Experience with Customer Support including working in a customer facing role
Experience with Software upgrade, patching and deployment
Experience with analysis, troubleshooting and resolution of system hardware, software, networking, product installation, configuration, integration and operation issues
Experience with configuration, optimization, fine-tuning and monitoring of operating system software and servers
Experience in user administration
Prefer experience with NetAct products/platforms/solutions
Prefer experience with EdenNet products/platforms/solutions
Experience with Defect tracking tool (JIRA preferred) and in ticket management, including opening, closing and tracking tickets
Experience with Windows, Linux, IP, Telephony, Microsoft (emphasis on Excel and Access
Experience to install operating system software, patches and upgrades for Linux/Unix systems
Experience to perform install, modification and maintenance of system and utility software on server computer systems
Experience performing system backup and restoration
General knowledge of Database architecture
Ability to read, understand and execute complex process flows and test plans with minimal errors
Ability to represent the Nokia team in Customer meetings without additional assistance
Communication, organizational, time management, and business skills normally required to perform complex team oriented tasks
Ability to work well in a global team and independently with minimal supervision
