Required Qualification -
5+ Years professional experience in a QA role
Bachelor’s Degree in IT/Computer Science/technical field OR equivalent work experience
Must be bright, energetic, self-motivated, creative and proactive individual ensuring clients suite of products are thoroughly tested with high quality in mind before reaching customer
Has excellent understanding of most elements of a successful Software Development Program, including, but not limited to, Unit Testing, API Testing, Manual/Automated Testing, Software Functional Requirements/User Stories, Code Design/Review and Defect Management.
Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail with the ability to analyze and solve complex problems as well as provide documentation, guidance and instruction to users.
Excellent experience working in a SCRUM/Agile environment.
Can demonstrate effective usage of common Test Tools (e. g. Defect Management, Test Management, Requirements Management) - Jira, HP-ALM and Confluence
Good understanding of OOPS concepts, programming, code, and logic. Hands on experience in scripting.
Good experience with Web application automation tools like Selenium.
Plus - Coding in JAVA / C#
Plus – Good experience in Continuous Integration (Maven and CI Jenkins)
Has a strong working knowledge of Application Interfaces and Web Services
Has experience in design and creation of Automated REST API test scripts, preferably using SOAPUI.
Good understanding of RDBMS and hands on experience in SQL querying skills.
Ability to interact with internal management teams and external client contacts using effective communication and inter-personal skills.
Located and able to work in the U. S. and able to travel locally in the Phoenix market
Roles and Responsibilities -
Review design documents to ensure expectations are clear and testable
Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities and coordinate testing efforts that may involve multiple systems and QA resources
Review User Stories/requirements/technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback and come up with Test scenarios.
Create, execute, and maintain test artifacts in an agile environment
Work with project leads and management to ensure items delivered by development satisfy business needs
Accurately assess risk level of proposed changes, and calibrate testing approach accordingly
Validate, document, and assess impact and root cause of reported bug
Preparation of Test data needed to execute the test cases.
Perform Smoke testing, thorough Regression testing when bugs are resolved or before the production release.
Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
Active participations in Kick off, Daily standup, Sprint Planning, Retrospective meetings.
Analyze and review test requirements, and establish automation scope
Performing Automation feasibility analysis, developing and implementing Test Automation strategy.
Analyze & implement Best practices to improve scalability and performance.
Experience and desire to work with Onsite-Offsite delivery environment
Pro-actively analyze current process and practice and suggest improvements.
