We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to support our Global Services project with Client. Client is a Fortune 50 manufacturing company based in Peoria, IL, is in process of a large transformation from their current virtualization strategy to the Cloud to support their current and future business initiatives. Currently the IT infrastructure lacks the speed and agility demanded by their business partners along with prohibitive costs. Vertigon Consulting is partnering with Client to provide consultants with technical expertise in the areas of networking and infrastructure that will work directly with internal Client teams to successfully complete the Cloud transformation projects enabling Client to reduce it''s on premise footprint and overall technical debt/cost while increasing speed to delivery and agility in use
The SD-WAN Network Engineer is responsible for leading migration of individual sites from MPLS to SD-WAN at this Fortune 100 company. The engineer helps document and execute implementation steps utilizing advanced knowledge of SD-WAN technologies. Must understand, at the most advanced levels, MPLS, DMVPN, BGP, and OSPF.
Top Skills Needed:
1. 10+ years of Wide-Area Network Engineering experience within a Fortune 100 enterprise environment.
2. Experience and understanding of wide-area network technologies, local access and routing/switching.
3. SD-WAN expertise required
4. CCNP
Qualifications/Responsibilities include:
* Must have SD-WAN experience and strong overall WAN implementation background
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Help roll out the implementation and solution
Some design and architecture experience desired
Need hands on experience – operations and roll out – preference then design.
