Position: Senior Program Manager
Location: Redmond, WA
Duration: Long Term
The mission of the Market Intelligence team is to provide data to client C+E analysts for the purpose of informing the Azure business planning process. We are focused on the acquisition, processing, storage, and distribution of data from a wide variety of internal and external sources. The project is implemented in Microsoft Azure using an array of cloud technologies including HDInsight, Hive, and Azure SQL. The candidate should have a solid grounding in BI (Business Intelligence) data processing, storage, and reporting. He/she should be fully conversant in the use of SQL Server and BI tools (Excel, Power BI) to perform investigations as needed.
Responsibilities
Work with marketing and engineering partners to produce clear and concise project requirement specifications
Drive the monthly ROB motions to gather business requirements, report on success / usage metrics and drive internal team reporting
Work with the development team to help guide feature implementation thru to release
Prioritize features for delivery each month
Track project timelines and activities via TFS
Publish regular progress reports for key stakeholders
Investigate, identify, and present the appropriate uses for our data as well as sourcing new data
Additional Information
The term of the position will be at least until June 2018 and will likely to be extended to a total of 18 months.
Candidates must be able to interview on-site in Redmond
Candidates will be expected to interview with both the project business owner and the engineering manager and demonstrate competence in the listed responsibilities
