Project Description:

The Applications Analyst will act as the primary IT liaison with the supply chain function at client. This rolewill meet regularly with the functional leads to determine areas of opportunity for improvement, as well as to review and resolution of outstanding issues. The role will provide tier 2 level support for all Help Desk calls related to supply chain systems as well as perform the role of primary interface with external tier 3 support providers, vendors, and developers.

All project requests submitted by the supply chain function will be reviewed by the applications analyst for initial assessment and analysis. If project requests and proposed designs are approved, the analyst will develop the detail specifications to be provided to developers, track the progress of the development, make sure the project adheres to client SDLC, and willensure user testing, sign off and acceptance.

The Analyst will work as part of the overall IT Application Management team and the functional community to determine the timing and strategy for deploying package patches and release upgrades.

Role Details:

This role is the primary liaison between the Supply Chain business community and IT support and development. This role serves as the primary Subject Matter Expert for all Supply Chain Systems including Oracle ASCP, Demantra and VCP-E1 integrations. The candidate must have advanced understanding of Oracle VCP (ASCP) and Demantra technical and functional processes, environments and systems as they relate to the organization’s current and future strategic and operating environment.

The role will:

Provide functional support for the optimal utilization of the supply chain planning systems; Provide support, testing, and training for new installations and Release Management including the final production acceptance review and sign off.
Manage the issue resolution process for any functionally related application production problems. Manage the relationship with the JDE application support to ensure superior service delivery
Work with the business community to identify new functional requirements, and IT developers to define application development specifications for enhancements, modifications, and integrations.
Provide IT development and programming in support of request for VCP enhancements. Work as a member of the overall IT support team to provide support for and a review point for VCP/Demantra issues resolution, training and deployment of new functionality, process development and standardization.
Plan and perform Disaster Recovery tests for the Supply Chain functions and related auxiliary applications in coordination with overall IT strategies and plans
Oversee the integration of VCP-JDE and other auxiliary supply chain related applications, defining job scheduling and monitoring requirements for VCP Supply Chain related jobs and Knowledgeable of the technical environment and operating requirements for VCP related support applications

Candidate requirements:

A BS or MS degree in CS or a related discipline such as Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Operations Research is a requirement.

Candidate must have 10-15 years of progressive experience with applications systems; also must have 10 years’ experience of pure Supply Chain Planning, with 50% of that experience in advanced Supply Chain Planning.

Candidate must be knowledgeable about and experienced with all aspects of Supply Chain Planning from the IT perspective, including planning production, forecasting sales, etc.
