Job Title: SQL Server developer with .Net
Location : Lincolnshire IL
Duration : Long Term
As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective workforce in our application development team located in Lincolnshire. As a tech lead, you will work with our product team and offshore development team and act as a liaison between both teams to learn and support our new web based product throughout the software delivery lifecycle. You will be responsible for the timely delivery, ensuring design integrity, and designing and delivering products/enhancements that addresses the needs of both internal and external customers. You will communicate risks, issues and concerns and speak out on things that are out of scope, or not manageable within set timeframes but also come up with alternatives and solutions to problems.??
Job Responsibilities:?
Create the design for a given technology that effectively meets the requirements/stories. This will involve ensuring the design integrates with other platforms/technologies?
Engages with business analysts and stakeholders to understand functional requirements and contributes to documentation of requirements.?
Develop and enhance the product using ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, C#, SQL Server 2008R2/20014, AngularJS, JavaScript, jQuery, WCF, WPF in an Agile development environment.?
Partner with the offshore development team to help lead the development effort ensuring effective daily handover. Such tasks can include –?
Talking through requirements and technical design with the offshore team.?
Attending/Leading daily SCRUM meetings to report progress and barriers to progress.?
Assist in owning and resolving questions and issues raised by either the tech team or product teams to prevent any blockages.?
Play and active role in sprint planning and sprint status as well as prioritizing and developing features to be built in in each Sprint.?
Be able to provide good, high-level estimates of development efforts (by gauging complexity of task versus resources of self and team) ?
Design, code, test, debug and document software according to the functional requirements.?
Analyze, diagnose and resolve errors related to applications.?
Investigate operational or systematic problems and user queries as required.?
Support application deployment as required.?
Follow all Aon development standards and methodologies.?
Participate in technical solution/code review, application security assessment, application performance tuning and troubleshooting.?
Work closely with developers, QAs and end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.????
Required Experience:?
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a full-stack .NET (C and SQL Server Developer.
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a SQL Server developer
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audience.?
Experience with responsive/adaptive web design and framework (e.g. twitter bootstrap?
Experience with JQuery, AngularJS, or other front end development frameworks.
Experience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX and JSON.
Experience working with TFS (Team Foundation Server) and knowledge of DevOps concepts.?
Experience in Agile development environment.?
Experience working on n-tier web application (UI, Service Layer, Business Logic Layer, Data Access Layer.?
Experience with server-side language and technology such as ASP.Net (C, Web API and MVC.NET for implementing web technologies.?
Experience developing with MS SQL stored procedures and queries. ?
Experience with automated unit testing and Test driven development is a plus.?
Must be able to work for any US company (both now and in the future) without sponsorship.????
Education:?
Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related area (or equivalent years of industry experience?
Microsoft certifications are a plus focused on a mix of development and analysis. Includes coding, debugging as well as supporting low level design. Work more independently and may coach software engineers.
