We are looking for someone who has led contract discussions with market data vendors, good at relationship management and understands market data products. *We need someone in the market data weeds who is able to drive an effort from start to finish. .

Job Description:
The Investments IT Market Data group is responsible for all aspects of Market Data from commercial and vendor relationship management, financial and inventory processes and management and setting the market data strategy.
We are looking for a strong Market Data Analyst who will own and execute on several key initiatives on a portfolio of over $20M with 150+ suppliers.
The successful individual in this role has worked in a market data role for 5+ years and is comfortable working on commercial initiatives and has a good technical acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
Project manage market data integration activities into client including, but not limited to,
o Categorization of acquired services o Service comparison between current and acquired services
o Obtain communication and buy-in of next steps and action including:
§ Contract termination
§ Straight contract renewal§ Renewal w. additional service
o Provide information to load into Inventory Management Tool
Manage Usage Capture and Analysis program including, but not limited to, o Report and metrics generation o Project planning and execution o Communication including to Senior Leadership
Top 3 MUST HAVE requirements for this role
- - 5+ years of market data commercial experience (preferably on the client side)
- Experience with market data licensing, contractual terms and vendor negotiations
- Excellent Communication and Relationship Management skills Contract Management experience is highly desired.
Required Industry Background
- must come out of Investment Management industry (client buy/sell side ) or Market Data (Vendor side) company
- for ex. Bloomberg or Reuters *Must work full time onsite in Whippany NJ office, working remotely is NOT an option
this is specific project based assignment with set 6 months duration of assignment (possibly a bit longer but not temp to perm)
