Contract PostgreSQL (PG) Database Administrator who brings a deep operational understanding of PG.
Working with our product and data Engineering teams, you will be responsible for implementing best practices and processes for PG management and administration. You’ll use the best tools for the job, whether modern and revolutionary or time tested and proven, to deliver elegant, scale-able solutions that meets the business and technical requirement.
Responsibilities
* Integrating best open source tools with PG for world class automated database administration
* Implementing best security practices for the database infrastructure.
* Document and implement best practices in the management of PG in a data analytics environment.
* Quickly solve production issues with the database.
* Help the application team in designing a database model for analytical application.
* Implement best security practices matching HIPAA requirement.
Knowledge, Skills, Competencies required
* Five years’ experience with PG 9.x+
* Experience with any industry leading ETL tools.
* Ability to solve technical problems quickly.
Nice to have
* Experience in cloud (AWS)
* Experience with Docker Container
* Experience with Jenkins, Airflow, GIT.
* Experience with encryption and data compression technique/modules with PG.
* Excellent scripting skills in Python and Bash.
