Need : Sr SQL Server DBA

Our client, a financial services firm needs a Sr SQL Server DBA in their Austin TX office. The DBA will maintain firms database systems, currently MS SQL and Raven DB. This includes back-up, environment planning, and performance tuning, capacity planning, monitoring of critical events, documentation, upgrades, security and adherence to industry standards and processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:To perform this job successfully, this individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Expert SQL language skills and knowledge of relational database design principles
Expert level skills in troubleshooting and resolving database problems
Expert level skills in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
Expert level knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, backups, restores and recovery models
Expert level knowledge implementing High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions for MSSQL Server environments
Expert level knowledge of indexes, index management, and statistics
Experience with Information Security Policies and how they relate with RDMS systems
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR ABILITIES:
8+ years'' experience in database management, delivery and architecture across a range of database technologies as a hands-on architect
Strong enterprise experience managing large SQL Server environments (multi-terabyte range)
SQL Server 2016 experience
Advanced knowledge of MS SQL Server
Advanced knowledge of NO SQL Databases
Advanced knowledge and understanding of SQL performance on various compute and storage regimes including SAN, local array, physical server, virtualized server (VMWare)
Advanced knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, Microsoft Active Directory, and Enterprise Datacenter environments
Ability to work with minimal direction
Ability to organize and prioritize projects and manage a workload
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to identify areas that need proactive updates, improved security and planned maintenance
Ability to implement and document processes and procedures focused on improving the IT framework
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor''s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or related field or equivalent experience
