Position : Apps System Engineer
Location : St.Louis, MO
Duration : 18 Months
Interview process: Phone / Skype (local candidates preferred but will take candidates that are willing to relocate)
Technical Skills : PERL, SAS, MySql, Sql, Unix/Linux Shell commands / scripting
General Summary / Requirements: Acts in the highest level technical role as an individual contributor and/or team lead for
the most complex computer applications and/or application initiatives. Utilizes a thorough understanding of available
technology, tools, and existing designs. Works on the most complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires
evaluation of intangible variance factors. Plans, performs, and acts as the escalation point for the most complex platform
designs, coding, and testing. Leads most complex multiple modeling, simulations, and analysis efforts. Acts as expert
technical resource to programming staff in the program development, testing, and implementation process.: 10+ years
application development and implementation experience.
Minimum Qualifications:The candidate must be a dedicated self-starter with strong analytical, problem solving and
debugging capabilities.
Required Competencies
* 3+ years Unix/Linux shell commands/scripting experience.
* Experience with PERL programming
language.
* Client technical support/troubleshooting experience.
* Effectively communicate with clients in non-technical
speak.
* Strong knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems.
* Excellent debugging and problem solving skills.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Results oriented team player. Desired Competencies
* Experience with consumer lending/mortgage products.
* Experience in risk management/mortgage analytics.
* Usage of SVN version control software or other similar software.
* Structured Query Language using databases such as Oracle, mySQL, MS SQL Server.
* Experience with SAS Base and SAS macros.
