Role: 1. Business Analyst with IT Service Mgmt Exp (ServiceNow )

We currently have an urgent need for a Business Analyst with IT Service Management Experience, specifically ServiceNow experience. The resource would have to work locally in Long Island City Queens NY. We might be able to get away with a skype Interview, but they would have to be onsite for work

Position Summary
The Information Technology (IT) Business Analyst (BA) provides direct support IT initiatives by supporting the Project Manager in the development of materials in support of the planning and execution of IT projects. With the guidance of a Project Manager the Business Analyst will actively support all aspects of the ITSM /ITOM Transformation project from start to finish with a particular emphasis on requirements development and participation in project quality activities. The BA will also provide support to Workstream Owners and other key individuals during the project initiation / process design activities.

Essential Responsibilities
Actively support The ITSM / ITOM project from start to finish in accordance with client’s IT policies and processes, produce clear, detailed project scoping and design documentation to be used by technical specialists to build appropriate solutions
Elicit and develop clear, traceable requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and/or workflow analysis
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
Collaborate with developers, architects, subject matter experts, and other IT team members to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs
Attend workshops and document outcomes with regard to process design, workflow creation, documentation requirements, comms plans etc.
Assist in the development of business cases, considering financial, resource, and technological constraints; develops cost estimates with consideration to business impacts and risks
Ensure that approved requirements are developed in sufficient scope and detail to result in the delivery of a solution that meets customer needs as they perceive them;
Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal Crewmembers and Business Partners to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts: Functional Requirements; Technical Requirements, include architecture, interfaces, security and business continuity; process maps and other documentation as required.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in related field OR High School Diploma/General Education Development (GED) Diploma with (1) one year supporting projects with business user and IT components
One (1) year experience providing BA support to projects with business user and IT components
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word and Visio
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Ability to review, consolidate, communicate and reverse-engineer complex technical and systems documentation
Experience in statistical and other quantitative and qualitative analytical methodologies;
Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located.
Exp working on Agile and Waterfall projects.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
Working knowledge of industry standards in project management and development methodologies (PMBOK, MSF, SEI, Agile Methods, RUP, etc
Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP)
Working knowledge of ITIL (ITIL V3 foundation an advantage)
Knowledge of the ServiceNow platform
Working knowledge of risk management and quality assurance standards and methodologies
Experience in the commercial aviation industries with exposure to supporting IT systems and technologies
Demonstrated analytical and basic project management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
Strong interpersonal and demonstrated facilitation skills including the ability to motivate and influence others, and able to foster and contribute to a positive, upbeat team environment;
Strong customer service ethic and an understanding of how IT is ultimately delivered to the Customer;
High tolerance for working in a dynamic and shifting environment and able to readily embrace and participate in change initiatives;
Knowledge of technology fundamentals and concepts including Microsoft technologies Ability to work well with others and complete tasks with minimal supervision;
Effective time management and prioritization skills;

Role: 2. PMP Certified Project Manager with IT Service Mgmt Exp (ServiceNow )

Position Summary:
The Project Manager (ITSM / ITOM Transformation Project)will project manage this key IT initiative through all phases of the project lifecycle. They will work with all areas of IT to actively lead all aspects of the project from start to finish, including project team definition, project planning, documentation, Business Partner liaison, contract management, full project execution, tracking, reporting, rollout, interfaces with training and support groups, and formalized project closure. This project will deliver a new ITSM / ITOM Platform to revolutionize the way client provides IT Support. The Project Manager will provide direction, coaching, and mentoring to share their knowledge and expertise in project management to other stakeholders, and to keep all workstreams of the project on track in terms of timelines, cost, risk avoidance and scope. They will need excellent communication skills to assist with managing the cultural change that this project will bring.

Essential Responsibilities:

Produce clear, detailed project scoping and requirements documentation and create Statement of Work and project plan. Define project team; establish resource allocation decisions with managers of each IT discipline; coordinate with Business Partners for both the product and implementation services
Identify and work with impacted IT and other business areas to ensure that they are effectively prepared for the system and process changes being delivered and have appropriate support to ensure successful delivery
Manage deliverables that are within scope as well as changes for those items that are added or deleted
Identify the key dependencies whether internal or external to the project and ensure that these are clearly shown in project plans
Schedule and coordinate the tasks of the highly interdependent deliverables, resources, stakeholders, and initiatives
Ensure that all team members are involved at the right time so that they understand the contribution expected of them and can plan their time to meet delivery timescales
Collaborate with developers, architects, subject matter experts and other IT members to confirm the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
Identify the project’s critical path and plan and measure the project goals and objectives
Value the project for cost savings, reports expenditures, prepare funding allocations, and justify cost discrepancies from planned to actual costs
Constantly maintain a “Risks and Issues” log and develop mitigation responses and strategies to ensure the resolution of project risks
Report status and address project questions with the project team, Governance Boards and leadership
Define and use appropriate project management methodology to deliver this project in the most efficient way
Manage changes, risks, scope, cost, quality, communications, and timelines. .
Collect formal acceptance, evaluate established success criteria to determine success. Close cost accounts and contracts.
Offer proficiency and expertise to others and share knowledge and insight into other projects/programs
Create and maintain a repository for this project’s knowledge management, allowing our Crewmember and Business Partner stakeholders to regularly communicate relevant information with each other and to senior leadership
Provide up-to-date information on the project dashboard and Workfront sites to ensure all status reports are current and correct for all stakeholders to review
Deliver the project to time and cost and quality measures as agreed with the Project Sponsor
Work with the Finance team and the PMO to appropriately monitor and track progress
Ensure that client IT and business standards and procedures are maintained in accordance with Company policies, audits, security, and regulatory requirements

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

Project Management Certification (PMP)
Five (5) years active Project Management experience
Expert in industry standards in project management and development methodologies (PMBOK, MSF, SEI, Agile Methods, RUP, etc
Knowledge of and ability to apply project management techniques, tools and documents
Sound decision making ability, analytical reasoning and organizational skills with the ability to successfully complete multiple projects / workstreams simultaneously
Financial acumen, and ability to structure a business case (or ability to quickly learn said skills)
Technology and systems knowledge
Ability to motivate and get the best out of a team of resources who do not directly report to you
Strong teamwork skills
Ability to manage risk
Ability to work in a high pressure environment
