JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Network Systems and Tools Architect who will be an integral part our global communication network engineering teams. The network architected and designed by this team enables Panasonic on flight communication growth at a large scale and is the IP foundation for our next generation satellite multimedia communication service.
In this role, you should have excellent problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of network systems and security. You are expected as an SME in the network systems and Tools knowledge domain.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Architect, design, evaluate and test Flow collecting and reporting Tools, SNMP management and monitoring tools, capacity monitoring and management tools, Network trouble shooting and knowledge base management tools.
Create architecture proposal, evaluation and test plan, and configuration standard document.
Test network systems and tools function and performance, include new architecture proof of concept test, change procedure test, upgrade regression test.
Collaborate with operation teams to make sure related standards and procedures are followed.
Provide configuration and troubleshoot training to operation teams.
Provide tier-4 escalation support to operation teams, on call on a rotational basis.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Strong knowledge and working experience on SNMP, NTP, TACAC+, Radius, architecture and implementation
Strong knowledge and working experience on Solarwinds NPM, Cacti, Netbrain.
Knowledge and working experience on Infoblox, or BT IPcontrol, or similar DDI tools.
Knowledge and hands-on experience in Radius protocol and Radius AAA deployment and operation experience
Knowledge and working experience on Storage, SQL Database
Unix/Linux system administrator or engineering experience
Strong knowledge and working experience on DNS architecture and implementation
Advanced knowledge of VMWare
Knowledge and experience on Nprobe a plus
Knowledge and experience of Python, Perl or other script languages a plus
Exceptional documentation skills that can clearly articulate technical designs, issues and constraints, procedures, and network assessments
Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
Strong analytical and problem determination/resolution skills

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Education Requirements – Bachelor’s degree in technical field required
Working Experience More than 10 years of experience in network systems and tools engineering design, and implementation as applied to complex computing systems. CCNP security or CCNA security 5+ years of network engineering or operation experience.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Working Conditions/Physical Elements Must have flexibility of working extended hours, weekends, holidays to respond to customer needs and requirements. Normal office and lab environment. No heavy lifting or extreme physical labor is required. .
Travel requirements – 10-20% travel will be required depending on the phase of each project.
