NASCO Systems Analyst
Location: Detroit, MI
Duration: 15 months
Engagement Description
This role will be responsible for completing NASCO benefit change requests for group benefit changes, new group implementations and corporate projects, as well as supporting benefits defect root cause identification and resolution.
Top Three Skills/Experience
- Analytical skills and demonstrated experience – Business requirements, development of detailed designs documents and issue/defect resolution - 5 years
- Technical skills and demonstrated experience including coding and/or development knowledge and experience – 3-5 years
- NPS benefits/claims testing - 3-5 years
Preferred Skills/Experience
- NASCO system knowledge.
- 3270 Mainframe experience.
- Knowledge of NASCO Flex Plan Rules Table coding.
- Experience in NASCO PDM application.
- BFM/BFAST experience.
- Working knowledge of SharePoint
- Detailed knowledge of Medical, Dental, Vision & Hearing benefits.
- Experience with membership/eligibility.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, specifically Excel, Access and Word.
Required Skills/Experience
- Working knowledge of NASCO, BFAST and other NASCO application tools
- Demonstrated working experience of project implementation, planning, processes and delivery
- Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience serving as a liaison between business and IT.
- Knowledge of Medical insurance claims processing
- Ability to perform as a self-starter, with motivation to be accountable and consistently produce high quality results
- Proficiency with MS Office: Project , Word, Excel, Power Point – 3 Years
- Strong organizational and follow-through skills, and particularly strong attention to detail.
- Ability to take/follow direction and work independently
- Demonstrated strong customer relationship skills
- Demonstrated flexibility, self-discipline and ability to work independently, as well as within a group.
- Great interpersonal skills and team spirit attitude.
Education/Certifications
Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Management Information Systems or closely related field required.
