Job Description:
The EAI / SOA Architect will be responsible for engineering application integration with other systems worldwide.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Define, document, communicate, and implement technical and architectural requirements for current and next-generation systems, in a Service Oriented environment, EAI and API
· Design and develop software integration between applications using EAI / SOA products ( MuleSoft Platform)
· Specify and provide ownership of reusable application components or reusable services and processes.
· Provide architectural oversight for integration and SOA projects
· Define the services, frameworks, component types and interfaces.
· Conduct pre-implementation and design reviews for other members and groups within the department to assure quality software construction and to avoid duplication of efforts in solving the same application/integration problems across projects.
· Work with third party vendors to develop software and/or integrate their software into the enterprise architecture.
· Evaluate new technologies and software products to determine feasibility and desirability of incorporating their capabilities within the enterprise application portfolio.
· Collaborates with business process owners to ensure application-level software services are derived from and consistent with the business object model and business strategy.
· Exhibit thought leadership through activities such as publishing white papers, developing Intellectual Property
· Participate / Own proposals related to SOA, EAI work
External Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems
· 12+ years of relevant experience in the industry
· 2+ years of experience designing architecture (integration / SOA / application architecture)
· Experience in Mule ESB, Mule API Gateway is required
· Sound understanding / experience of EAI, Service Oriented Architecture, API development, Microservices is expected.
· knowledge / Experience in Java or .NET will be plus
· Experience and sound understanding in databases is required
· Experience in other EAI suites/ESB such as TIBCO, webMethods will be a plus
· Knowledge/Experience in RESTful services and JSON and SOAP is required. Experience/knowledge in XML technologies (e.g. XSD, XLST, XPATH) desirable
· Understand considerations for A2A and B2B integration architectures.
· Experience applying appropriate integration topologies such as Point-to-Point, Publish & Subscribe, Hub & Spoke, SOA, etc.
· Willingness for onsite engagements will be definite plus
