Job Description :

Provide technical leadership, enablement, and implementation services on BMC Service Assurance tool deployments. Lead and advise project teams toward a total solution implementation that solves their critical IT systems management issues. This includes analyzing the customers current tools, organizations and processes; solution and architecture design; establishing deployment plans; software installations; building integrations to third part solutions; product customization; testing; and end user enablement and mentoring.

The ideal candidate has working knowledge of one or more of the BMC systems management solutions including BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management (BPPM) - Monitoring (Patrol), Analytics (ProactiveNet), Event and Impact Management (BEM/SIM), Network monitoring (Entuity Software), Hardware and Storage monitoring (Sentry Software) , and End User Experience Management – Synthetic Transactions (TMART

Details:
Responsible for leading and/or participating in monitoring solutions roll out to customers who are based on BMC Service Assurance products.
Applies technology to improve the IT operational effectiveness or efficiency for Customers.
Advises customers on best practices to implement and deploy BMC solutions.
Installs, configures and tailors BMC products to meet customer requirements.
Integrates BMC products to other BMC products and third-party applications.
Works with customers to test solutions and transition solution from project team to customer operational team.
Accountable to client for achieving specific outcomes by delivering services as directed by the Business Head/ Delivery Manager.
Takes direction and works independently in achieving stated objectives.
Suggest improvement plans. Implement and share best practices.
Responsibility to guide junior professionals in troubleshooting non-routine and complex troubleshooting requirements.
Works independently towards providing support for escalated troubleshooting requirements & helping teams with Root Cause Analysis.
Technical Review of proposed customizations, exceptions to standards.

Essential Skills and Competencies:
8+ years of progressive work experience within an IT organization; prior experience of at least 5+ years in working on – BPPM , Patrol, BEM/ SIM at a senior role. With the rest on other tools.
Proven ability to achieve business benefits through the planning and implementation of technical strategies and work programs.
Proven ability to employ quantitative analysis techniques to plan, justify and report the results of technical initiatives.
Familiarity with ITIL v3 as demonstrated through formal training and/or certification or through practical experience in developing and/or implementing ITIL v3 compliant processes.
Prior experience of working with global teams.
Willingness to work across time zones as necessary.
Formal training and/or practical experience in process re-engineering is desirable.
Ability to work collaboratively across organizational hierarchies both within and outside of HCL.
Good working knowledge of Windows and Unix operating systems; web and application server technologies; and scripting tools.
