Position: Mongo DB DBA
Location: San Jose, CA
Type: Contract
Rate: $67/hr

Description:
Total Exp: 8+ years.
Mongo DB Hands on Exp: 4+ years.
Strong knowledge of creating new environments, debugging issues, database bounce activities etc.
Experience working in at least 3 different projects where Mongo DB was the key database.
Experience in performing Mongo DBA operational routines
Install, configure, and monitor MongoDB instances and replica sets
MongoDB updates and migration.
Database profiling for performance and optimization.
Assist with MongoDB capacity management.
Good Knowledge on MongoDB Aggregation queries
Configuring Sharding , monitoring, and identify the proper shard key
Performing Security measures, backups and restore backups
User Management creating users, assigning roles, managing permissions
Design/improve backup, disaster recovery and continuity of business plans
Develop automation of routine tasks with scripts and open-source tools
Worked with 2+ TB MongoDB installation
UNIX/ LINUX scripting
Solid understanding of Linux based operating system concepts.
Experience with database replication and scaling issues
Experience tuning MongoDB configuration, queries and indices in large scale-high performance DB installations.
