Job Description :
Position: Model Based Design engineer
Location: Dearborn, MI
Duration: long term (Contract)

Must have skills*
Experience in ECU software development cycle from requirement gathering to testing, bug fixing and release of production software for ECUs using Model-Based System Engineering approach.

Preferred:
Domain:
Climate Control Module domain knowledge e.g. AC compressor control, Blower Motor Control, Heated backlight, heated steering wheel, conditioned seats etc.
Plant modeling, design of control algorithms for dynamic systems, creation of model integration framework for Model-In-Loop testing

Project Experience:
Previous onsite experience involving customer interaction on project technical aspects
Requirement maturation
Onsite-offshore work model

Tools: MATLAB Stateflow/Simulink 2010 and up,
Software Standards: MAAB Guidelines, MISRA C

Optional:
Tools: RTW or TargetLink, DOORS, ClearCase, JIRA, Polarion, GitHub, Uniphi
Domain:
Experience in auto-code generation for ECUs
ECU Calibration

Roles & Responsibilities
Requirement maturation and update Functional Requirement Document
Effective knowledge transfer to offshore team
Participate in Functional reviews to make sure that the functionalities defined are testable and a suitable test strategy can be identified
Implement models implementation based on Functional Requirements
Model Testing – Unit level and Integration Level
Find innovative methods to get best results and also to automate areas where regression testing is needed
Determine type and methods of tests and execution of test cases to derive the best results and ensure traceability to requirements
Responsible for managing the quality of the model releases across multiple vehicle programs and milestones
Understand customer needs/issues and identify areas for business growth
Ensure that enough work is generated from customer end in order to keep the full loading of entire team
