Job Title: Microsoft Unified Communications Consultant

Location: Hopkins, MN

Duration: Long Term

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Engineering and Design Collaboration and Communication services in Enterprise environment that includes:

· Understand the landscape of Collaboration and Communication services in enterprise environment and identify the opportunities to secure, harden, user friendly environment

· Design and hardening the image to meet the security requirements

· Design the patch cycle and deployment process along with the required tools installation for centralized deployment

· Design the production roll out strategy, operational support, and management of the technology and end user computing platform

· Analyze, tune, and troubleshoot tool and deployment configuration to achieve optimum performance levels

· Design the software applications installation processes and required tools for mass deployment

· Compare, evaluate, and implement new technologies, and integrate systems with the tools like monitoring, ticketing, asset DB, etc

· Design, develop, test user system policies

· Design management of software licenses, software maintenance, annual budgeting, and reporting

· Provide training and guidance to L1 and L2 tiers of support in the form of Technical Knowledge Base articles and direct training.

· Create end user training in form of written guides and FAQs

· Design the process to maintain the computer inventory for roll over, upgrades, spares, loaners, reclaims, etc.

· Operation Support

· Provide root cause analysis for recurring issues.

· Solution the OS and application level patch management

· Participate in direct user support as requested and/or needed at the L3 tier. Some L2 tasks may be assigned during heavy call periods.

Qualifications:

· 10+ years of collaboration and communication services in a “hands-on” corporate environment.

· Must have excellent customer services skills, proven organizational abilities and be able to work in a fast-paced research environment.

· Strong organizational and prioritization skills, ability to juggle and track many tasks and complete them in a timely manner.

· Ability to work well as part of a team, sharing research, knowledge and leading practices with team members.

· Experience with enterprise management tools like O365 Suites Exchange online, One drive for business, Skype for business, Cisco call Manager, Webcasting, Share-point, Windows file/print services, etc.

· Expert knowledge of windows/Apple platforms.

· User experience focus

· ITIL concepts strongly preferred
