Job Description :
Microsoft Sr. Lead Business Intelligence Analyst/Engineer

DUTIES:
(1) Leading IT data initiatives to include MICROSOFT data design and MICROSOFT architecture, MICROSOFT data modeling, MICROSOFT data mining, MICROSOFT database design and development, ETL, reporting, data acquisition and transformation delivery, and all MICROSOFT enterprise data initiatives;
(2) Leading requirements elicitation and requirements analysis with stakeholders to the highest executive level;
(3) Leading the strategic design and implementation of MICROSOFT databases, MICROSOFT data warehouses, and MICROSOFT data reporting across the corporate enterprise;
(4) Design and architecture of data strategy, policy, procedures, standards, protocols, guidelines, and requirements as well as monitoring acceptance and alignment from stakeholders, other IT groups, third party business partners and vendors, etc.;
(5) TECHNICAL coaching, TECHNICAL mentoring, TECHNICAL knowledge transfer, and TECHNICAL staff development in all TECHNICAL data elements INCLUDING data design and architecture, data modeling, data mining, database design and development, ETL, reporting, data acquisition and transformation delivery, and all enterprise data initiatives;
(6) Coaching, mentoring, knowledge transfer, and PROFESSIONAL staff development to widen and deepen employee skills in business and industry functional knowledge, stakeholder relationship development and management, peer relationship development and management, professional leadership skills, etc.;
(7) Designing and building a world class ‘data’ environment and acting as a driver and leader of the evolution of data strategy, data vision, data process and data best practices, data technology and vendor evaluation and selection, and consistent evolution and adaptation to new and leading data standards and tactical activities;
(8) Acting as a hands-on technical Subject Matter Expert and resident evangelist of all things DATA.

*THIS IS NOT A ROLE FOR CANDIDATES COMING FROM MOSTLY NON-MICROSOFT (I.E. ORACLE, COGNOS, SAP) ENVIRONMENTS.

This IS a role for candidates coming from STRONG Microsoft FOCUSED/ CENTRIC environments who have not been primarily consultants, contractors, or working for professional services firms.

MUST have 10 years of STRONG/CURRENT IT DATA experience in the FINANCIAL SERVICES INDUSTRY experience AND 10 years of STRONG/CURRENT DATA (database, development, modeling, mining, architecting, reporting, ETL) experience focused on MS SQL Server with 10 years of STRONG/CURRENT MICROSOFT based BI (Business Intelligence) and 10 years of STRONG/CURRENT data requirements elicitation and gathering in a MICROSOFT DATA environment.

MUST have STRONG/CURRENT TECHNICAL “hands-on acumen” to include MICROSOFT SQL data architecture, data design, data mining, large and complex data modeling, data reporting, with data transformation tools in FINANCIAL SERVICES IT organizations with significantly LARGE DATA initiatives.

MUST also have STRONG/CURRENT excellence in troubleshooting complex technical data/database issues.

MUST have STRONG skill in designing, building, monitoring, evolving, and leading enterprise data efforts with STRONG/CURRENT technical acumen in data, databases, data strategy and vision, data acquisition, data transformation, ETL/reporting, data mining, data modeling, etc.
