Microsoft Exchange Engineer

Location: Houston TX


· Candidate should have in-depth knowledge in Microsoft Exchange and Windows server operating system.

Skills Required:

· Windows Server 2008/2012, Active directory, DHCP,DNS (6-10 years)

· Microsoft Exchange server 2010, 2016 (4-10 years)

· IIS, SCOM , WSUS, Windows Cluster and DFS (2-3 years)

· Powershell, VB scripting, Other troubleshooting tools like sysinternals (2-4 years)

Roles and Responsibility:

1. Install, configure & troubleshoot different roles of Exchange servers

2. Mailbox Database and Public Folder Database Creation, Deletion, handling permission issues and managing replication

3. Managing DAG and CAS Arrays, troubleshooting failover issues, addition and deletion of Exchange servers from clusters

4. Troubleshooting inbound and outbound queues, mail routing issues, server errors, mail delivery latency issues, analysis of NDR

5. Configure, maintain & troubleshoot email gateways, anti-spam

6. Handling OWA, ActiveSync related issues

7. Responsible for providing senior level of support for Exchange Team.

8. Installing and maintaining Windows servers infrastructure and make sure they are up and running all the time without any performance issues.

9. Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issues on L2 /L3 level

10. Should have good communication and documentation skills

11. Out Of Band management of servers using ILO and VM console

12. Troubleshoot and resolve Windows server related issues with Root cause analysis

13. Perform system administration activities and support activities

14. Server Deployment and Migrations on Windows 2008/2012/2016

15. Upgrading Server Infrastructure and patching

16. Patching the windows servers using the tools WSUS every month once the Microsoft release the patches (Every 2nd Tuesday of Month)

17. Troubleshooting of AD replication, DNS, DHCP issues

18. Windows 2008/2012 Cluster Troubleshooting

19. Install, configure and manage vCenter application servers

20. Monitoring the servers and application using the SCOM

21. Confirming the ITIL process while working in Incident management and in Change management

22. Raising the Change request (CR) for server related changes and other infrastructure changes

23. Troubleshoot problems reported by users either through email or phone

24. Analyze and isolate the issues

25. Send reports to Management on needed basis

26. Write scripts on PowerShell for reporting or monitoring for server infrastructures

27. Work with Datacenter team and other teams for multiple projects and server issues
