Mechanical Design Engineers
Location: Santa Clara CA
Position Type: Contract to Hire
Primary Skillset
* CAE / CFD skill are good to have
* Semi Conductor industry exp. preferred
Key Responsibilities:
* Design of Structural/ fabricated / sheet metal components using CAD tools inventor.
* Develop flow, thermal and structural models to analyze the problems related to flow, species, thermal uniformity and structural integrity in APTD process chambers.
* Experience in CFD, Thermal and Structural
* Interpret analysis results with respect to results obtained by lab testing procedures, successfully apply these results into practical design suggestions.
* Works on difficult CAE problems to assist product development with good working knowledge of ESI CFD ACE, ANSYS Mechanical and ANSYS Thermal
* Works on identifying product design and development problems where CAE analysis can accelerate development
* Proactively validates/ correlates results with real world data and makes model improvements as deemed necessary
* Very good understanding of business unit processes and hardware; good knowledge of data analysis techniques to summarize CAE data
* Generates high-level engineering test reports and presents CAE results/ conclusions to the design/ process engineering community
* Must have in-depth knowledge of Inventor,UG, CFD, fluid dynamics, FEA, strength of material and heat transfer.
* Expert user of commercially available CAE analysis tools such as ANSYS WB, ESI CFD-ACE and/ or Fluent/ CFX
* Expert in using meshing software like Ansys WB.
* Excellent communication skills, Knowledge in writing test plans and reports.
* Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing equipment and processes (especially CVD and ALD processes)
* Basic understand of product design and drafting and hands on working experience of CAD systems is a strong plus
