Title: McAfee Systems Engineer II
Location : Houston, TX
For ePO candidates there is some flexibility.
Job Role
ü Perform application and environmental deployments to ensure minimal customer impact.
ü Design business continuity and disaster recovery solutions including sufficient testing documentation to ensure complete system reliability.
ü Develop and recommend strategies for application growth, security, and reliability.
ü Generate application infrastructure capacity reporting and planning
ü Evaluate new and existing technologies for efficient use of corporate resources.
ü Maintain awareness of integrated systems and changes to products, procedures or services.
ü Work closely with all teams and managers to resolve issues and implement project tasks.
ü Assist in the creation of processes and procedures for network operations.
ü Coordinate quotes, purchases and installation of hardware and software by others.
ü Assist in determining monitoring solutions to ensure environment stability.
ü Report on and complete assigned tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
ü Identify potential system problems and recommend alternative solutions.
ü Maintain a library of associated materials for all equipment, processes, and procedures, including application documentation and system diagrams.
ü Perform 3rd level support for applications as required
ü Maintain SAS70, SARBOX, COBITs, and any other audit requirements
ü Ability and willingness to work after-hours, weekends, and maintenance windows •Business travel as assigned by management
ü Participate in regular 24x7 on call rotation
ü Perform other duties as assigned by management
Skill/Experience/Education
ü Excellent analytical skills
ü Ability to work independently
ü Intermediate IT research and development experience
ü Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server operations
ü Intermediate knowledge of Windows domain models and security
ü Strong written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills
ü Configure and maintain multiple McAfee ePO servers
ü Deploy, configure, manage and monitor McAfee DLP, HIPS, MDE and ENS
ü Deploy and manage McAfee agents via new, upgrade and migration strategies
ü Support and troubleshoot McAfee agents on Servers and Workstations
ü Migrate systems from ePO 9.3 to 9.5
ü Minimum of 2 – 6 years of experience in McAfee ePO support and engineering in ITIL processes, change control methodologies, application life cycle, SOX and SAS70 audit requirements and multi-domain configurations in mid to large scale environments.
ü B.S. degree in computer related field or equivalent experience
ü Possession of Microsoft Certified System Engineer certificate
ü Possession of Citrix Certified Enterprise Engineer certificate
