Maximo Technical Architecture & Infrastructure Job Requirements
Participate in the Maximo environment strategy and analysis sessions to determine new environment requirements.
Subject Matter Expert in the Maximo application architecture through the definition of structured solution that meets all the technical and operational requirements through the optimization of performance, security and manageability.
Perform all Maximo environment builds, upgrades, configuration, performance tuning, code migrations, general troubleshooting and problem resolutions.
Ability to install, define and configure all aspects of WebSphere components (virtual hosts, servers, clusters, JMS queues, messaging engine, data store and Service Integration buses
Expert in the configuration of the integration hub for Maximo distributed processing and data replication with Maximo Integration Adapter (MIF) and messaging with external systems.
Experience with monitoring the Maximo system performance for reliability, stability and high availability and take proactive actions to minimize service disruptions.
Experience with performing Maximo application code deployment and migrations through approved change management process.
Experience with the documentation of the activities in each phase of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Ability to develop and maintain team work plans for the deployment activities and verification of the deliverables.
Work with organization IT to apply, test and verify fixes/patches to Maximo WAM System.
Identify and communicate Maximo WAM System defects to IBM through the management of PMR and/or IT.
Assist with the Backup, archival and restore of data; support and maintain Maximo WAM System reports for example running queries and creating ad hoc reports.
Provide System Administration and support of all Maximo environments during the Project phase and post-go live and act as liaison between the vendor, IT and Maximo WAM System users to resolve application and infrastructure issues.
Experience with rebuilding and redeploying the application packaging as a result of the development and configuration tasks.
Assist and collaborate with the application middleware and database teams to configure and troubleshoot Maximo application issues.
Accurately and effectively communicate with the Project Manager and/or Team Lead the level of effort to implement proposed solutions, the current status of on-going work, and any potential issues.
Work well in both a team environment as well as a sole contributor with little or no supervision.
Possess excellent time management skills in handling multiple priorities with individual deadlines
Adapt to a rapidly changing environment and work creatively with minimal supervision
Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
HOURS: Standard 40 hour work week with possible OT
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, or Associates Degree in Computer Science with 2 years of Architecture related experience, or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years Architecture related experience.
Experience: Typically 12 or more years of Architecture or related experience (in addition to any experience identified above
