ROLE: Manual Tester
REQUIRED SKILLS:
State Eligibility end-user experience with both MAGI and non-MAGI Medicaid Program
A minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in Quality Assurance with Medicaid Eligibility Determination
A minimum of three (3) years’ experience creating and executing test cases based on requirements.
Proficient in use of Jira/Jama test management tools
Proven experience developing test plans based on business scenarios
Understanding of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and testing life-cycle, testing procedures, and methodologies
Strong communication and documentation skills (written/verbal Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
Detail oriented with strong analysis, process, problem solving, and critical thinking skills. Inquisitive and driven to understand the intersection of business processes and information technology systems
Experience in MS office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Effective in team setting or as individual contributor – Ability to participate with a team to achieve a common goal and the ability to work independently (with little oversight) to achieve a pre-defined goal. Ability to self-motivate as well as working well with a diverse team
Ability to multi-task and manage evolving priorities and to support multiple concurrent project responsibilities
Ability to interact with all levels of staff with confidence when working with, reporting to, and providing/receiving guidance from team members
Ability to self-motivate and push yourself to achieve desired results while maintaining a positive attitude. Willingness and ability to ‘go the extra mile’ to help the larger team achieve success
Preferred Skills
Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Rational Functional Tester, or HP QuickTest Professional
Experience with SQL and SoapUI
Experience in 508 compliance testing
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Shall create test cases based on requirements and assure requirements traceability to test cases
Shall peer review test cases.
Shall perform sample reviews of test cases and periodically review results of test case execution for accuracy and adherence to policy and procedures
Shall assure the capture and retention of testing artifacts for audit purposes
Shall prepare test data
Shall create and execute manual/automated tests
