Overview

The Managing Director of Administrative Applications in Information Services (IS) is the senior leader responsible for
providing direction, oversight, and management of the Enterprise Administrative Application Portfolio. This individual is
responsible for all activities and functions of the Applications Services group in IS, including the life cycle of the current
administrative applications in the portfolio as well as working with Institutional and Departmental leaders in setting the
strategic vision for the portfolio, including during the budgeting process to understand the needs of the Institution or
Departments. For new applications, work with the leadership to prepare budgetary estimates and justification. This
position takes the lead role in developing a forward-thinking strategic vision and roadmap for application technology
services, and through collaboration with other senior IS and institutional leaders, provides innovative and sustainable
application solutions in support of the St. Jude mission. Partners with departments and leaders across the institution to
select applications that align with current business services and requirements while also keeping the Institutional
strategic plan in mind. Sets management priorities, oversees all formalized projects, develops strategic plans, and
manages resource for the Application Services group. Serves as expert advisor to the Chief Information Officer

Minimum Education

Bachelor''s degree is required, preferably in a computer science, MIS, administrative, financial or a related field.

Master''s degree preferred

Minimum Experience

Ten (10) years of progressive leadership experience in the selection, implementation and support of Enterprise Applications required

Five (5) years of progressive information technology management experience required

Experience managing Enterprise Applications in a large organization is required

Experience supporting applications within a healthcare setting strongly preferred

Experience supporting applications within a large, complex academic research setting strongly preferred



Other Credentials

ITIL foundation certification preferred
