Overview

The Manager of Clinical Informatics plays a vital role in the Clinical Informatics Department. St. Jude is looking for a manager who can come in, provide direction and oversight to the orders team as they serve the institution in the roles of production support and maintenance and powerplan developmentamp;nbsp; This manager functions as a key liaison for both clinical and research protocol developmentamp;nbsp; This position will be expected to able to interact with several departments outside clinical informatics such as research staff, physicians, and clinical staff and other key stakeholders.  Deep and operational knowledge of Cerner PowerChart a requirement for success in this positionamp;nbsp; Experience in oncology, research or pediatrics is a plusamp;nbsp; Administratively, this manager assists in establishing and achieving departmental goals and objectives and support of the electronic medical record and related applications. This fast-pasted environment balances the demands of powerplan/protocol development and the changing culture surrounding institutional growth and increased regulation.

Minimum Education

Bachelor''s degree in a clinical discipline, management information systems, healthcare or related field requiredamp;nbsp;

Minimum Experience

Eight years of progressive information technology experience that involves information system application development or testing, data analysis, reporting, redesign or clinical systems project training required.

Includes two years of project leadership or management experience.

Experience with Cerner Orders is strongly preferredamp;nbsp;

Experience with Cerner is preferredamp;nbsp;

Experience with PowerChart Oncology and PowerChart Ambulatory are pluses.
