Job Summary
Repairs and maintains, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer''s specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment.
Maintenance Technician works closely with production associates and production supervisors and assists in the startup, running, and troubleshooting of production machines and facilities maintenance.
Major Duties
Perform all necessary work to repair and perform both preventive and general maintenance on all production equipment in the facility.
Uses historical data and other pertinent information to drive an improvement of machine uptime and the reduction of machine down time by focusing on eliminating unplanned machine outages.
Supports the manufacturing team in the areas of continuous improvements, production support and optimization
Work across a wide spectrum of skills to include: electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, & pneumatics troubleshooting.
Work with the purchasing department to assure proper parts are kept on hand.
Ensure that safe working conditions and good housekeeping are maintained while meeting quality and cost requirements.
Perform all necessary building maintenance and upkeep as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
5 years hands-on experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment
Ability to work independently
Ability to move about to inspect/repair machines including climbing, bending, and squatting in tight
Relatively high level of analytical ability
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience working with tools of the trade – welding, meters, hand tools, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
Electro/mechanical or an Associate degree in a related technical discipline
Working knowledge of TPM, preventative/predicative maintenance, operator basic care, and equipment efficiency metrics and measures.
A working knowledge of GMP, FDA, and OSHA regulations and guidelines.
