Experience – 9 to 11 years – M Level
Job Description:
· 3+ years’ experience in design and development of mainframe project, preferably in Property and Causality Insurance domain.
· Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
· Experience in Agile methodology – Scrum / Kanban
· Proven leadership skills & Expertise in conflict resolution and team based problem solving.
· Proficiency with related software tools including but not limited to Rally and JIRA, MS Excel, etc.
Required Skills:
· Minimum 3 years of hands on experience in design, development and implementation of Mainframe applications
· Experience in COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM, Eztrieve, REXX.
· Experience in mainframe tools and utilities like Endevor, File-Aid, SPUFI, QMF, XPEDITOR, SDSF, ABEND-AID, SORT, IDCAMS, CA7.
· Experience in Agile methodology development – Scrum / Kanban
· Experience in SQL & IBM DB2
· Strong Technical, Analytical and problem solving skills
· Ability to work as part of team and independently
· Communication skills to work effectively with team members, support personnel, and clients
· Experience in requirement gathering JAD sessions and support documentation where applicable (business, functional, UI, usability, data, compliance, data migration, NFR, 3rd party tools & products
· Experience in conducting meetings with customer SME’s, BA’s and architect to understand and clarify functional and technical requirements.
· Experience in providing input on technical effort estimation to arrive at resourcing plans.
Desirable:
· Experience in Property and Causality Insurance domain is a plus.
· Experience in making technical presentations.
· Experience in Service integrations is a plus.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
· Waterfall to Agile transformation experience.
