1. z/OS Performance troubleshooting
a. Quickly determine root cause for system and sub-system performance issues
b. Conversant in SMF details and using SMF to isolate problems
c. Experience with DB2, CICS, and MQ subsystems performance from the z/OS perspective
d. Dumps, Traces, SLIPs
2. Parallel Sysplex
a. Coupling Facility Management
b. WLM
c. SFM, ARM
3. Core z/OS installation, configuration, and management (1.13 and above)
a. Applying PTFs and APARS on a regular basis
4. Hardware (HCD, HCM)
5. IBM HMC setup and operations for Reset/Image/Load profiles
6. zEC12 and/or z13 installation
7. Automation (Auto Operator and/or Tivoli System Automation)
8. Communication and Presentation Skills
9. Effective communication on a technical level, and at a strategic executive level (C-Suite
Position 2
1. z/OS Storage Administration
2. DFSMS, DFSMShss
3. Tape Management Systems (Zara preferred)
4. Knowledge of IBM DS88xx, TS77xx, and EMC DLm
5. Design (including Continuous Operations, Disaster Recovery)
6. Configuration
7. Troubleshooting
8. Performance Analysis
9. GDPS Global Mirror and GDPS Metro-Global Mirror (3-site, 4-site)
10. Experience in monitoring storage environments with BMC Mainview or similar.
11. Core z/OS installation, configuration, and management (1.13 and above)
