Sankar Inc direct client is looking for Mainframe Developer at Minneapolis, MN
Job Description:
6+ years of overall IT experience in z/os Mainframe & CICS programming.
2+ experience working with Shell Scripts in UNIX,IBM COBOL & TX-Series environment
Handle development in Mainframe COOL & CICS environment.
1.Troubleshoot & resolve batch & online failures in z/os environment, IBM COBOL &C/Unix environment.
2.Coordinate with BA’s on requirement analysis for new projects, Develop solution code & coordinate deployment of changes across environments.
3.Coordinate with external customers on file data transfer & ensure processing of the files within the Unix environment for creation of order data.
4.Data setup for order processing & coordinate any data related failures with external partners.
5.Provide dashboard/reports on need basis
6.Handle enhancement requests as part of project activities & performing testing of the changes prior to production move.
7.Fix recurrent issues/job failures & coordinate the move of the components to production.
8.Explore opportunities for automation , plan & implement the same to reduce manual efforts
9.Handle critical paged (priority 1 & 2)in incident tickets on a 24*7 basis.
Required Skill Set:
IBM COBOL/Microfocus COBOL experience
Unix shell scripting knowledge with C language experience
Experience in DB2 & CICS programming concepts
Experience working with VSAM data & utilities like Rexx & Eztrieve preferred
Experience working in a production support environment
