Mainframe Developer
Louisville, KY
Contract
As a developer you will be working on Cobol-based back-end development – working with data sets, batch jobs, manipulating data sets, etc.
Must have:
1) 10 years working as an Application Developer in a Mainframe environment
2) 10 years in Cobol Development in a Mainframe environment
3) 5 years of experience with REXX, Easytrieve, and JCL
4) Excellent skills in manipulating data sets and coding for optimal batch jobs
Responsibilities
Responsible for interpreting functional requirements, developing technical specifications from functional requirements, designing and coding applications using COBOL in a mainframe environment
Ensure changes, modifications, and enhancements are done in accordance with management direction
Ensure proper documentation is completed
Requirements
A minimum of ten years working as an Application Developer in a Mainframe environment
A minimum of ten years in Cobol Development in a Mainframe environment
A minimum of five years of experience with REXX, Easytrieve, and JCL
Excellent skills in manipulating data sets and coding for optimal batch jobs
